I have had the pleasure of working at Village Daycare for the past 32 years, and throughout that time, i have also have the privilege of living in the same community as the families who attend our centre. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching the children grow up, leave our daycare, and eventually become adults. Because we share the same community, I often get to see them as the years go by, which is something that truely fills my heart. Along the way, I have also formed many lasting friendships with the families who have been part of our daycare community.
I strongly believe that every child deserves love, care and the opportunity to belong, regardless of their abilities or individual needs. it is a privilege to support each child and family who walks through our doors, and I feel fortunate to be able to make the difference in their lives.
In my spare time, you will see me walking my 15 years old puppy, Dezmond. He has become a familiar face to many of our daycare families over the years. I also enjoy reading and spending quiet, meaningful time with my friends and family. After 32 years, I continue to feel grateful for the relationships I have built and the many children and families who have become such a special part of my life.
